Three SJGT members had a memorable trip to the renowned Pinehurst Golf Resort competing in the US Kids World Championships 6-8 August 2009.

Robert McIntyre from Glencruitten Golf Club in Oban and Connie Jaffrey and Hazel McGarvie, both from Troon Ladies made the trip to North Carolina after great results in the regional qualifying events.

Connie qualified for the Girls 12 after winning the 2008 HSBC Wee Wonders at St Andrews over the Strathtyrum Course. Connie played great over the 3 rounds and came in joint 25th.

Hazel qualified for the Girls 9 after coming 3rd in the 2008 HSBC Wee Wonders at St Andrews over the Balgove Course. Hazel thoroughly enjoyed her trip and came in joint 22nd.

Robert qualified after an excellent result in the US Kids European Championships and his 29th spot in the Boys 12 earned Robert a place in the US Kids World Cup. The top US Kids play against the top kids from the Rest of The World in a 4-ball format.
